Excavating a passage to Morocco

The Client:

Story Contracting is a family-owned award winning Infrastructure company based in the North of England and Scotland. Named Network Rail Supplier of the Year 2014, Story Contracting is highly respected nationally for providing construction, plant and rail solutions.

The Challenge

Story Contracting contacted us to dispose of their specialist equipment consisting of four Colmar 360° Road/Rail Wheeled Excavators. Their preference was for the excavators to be exported to prevent them being sold to their rail contractor competitors. The client needed expert assistance with their marketing campaigns to promote their equipment and via us, position it in front of a global audience.

The Solution

Capitalising on having over 20 years’ experience and expertise in providing re-marketing solutions and as a result of us having a worldwide database, we were successful in selling the excavators overseas to a company in Morocco for 12.5% more than what Story Contracting had expected. We also implemented a successful worldwide marketing campaign, using a variety of promotional tools, including social media to promote the excavators to potential buyers.
