“I have been working with Craig for around 10 years on selling our cranes and lorries. Also, he has been our go to person when we have had an immediate requirement for cranes, lorries and equipment from the used market.
For selling our cranes and lorries, he does a first class job in marketing and has a far reaching customer network that he has built up over the years. He takes his time on detail, in terms of inspecting the equipment and produces extensive photos and videos to showcase the equipment in the best possible way, but also giving an honest appraisal for the purchaser.
Craig is easy to get hold of and keeps you informed as to what is happening during the sales process with appropriate updates. I have always found him to be very honest in our deals, which I feel is imperative when selling high value assets such as mobile cranes. I find him very professional and he offers up sound advice with current market conditions as it changes, which may affect pricing. If he feels that the offers coming in on your equipment are not where they should be, he has your best interests at heart and would be advising to wait.
I have never been disappointed with the final sale price that Craig has achieved and if something has sold a little lower than our initial price expectation, I feel confident that Craig has left no stone unturned in trying to find the best bidder for the equipment. From my point of view, using Craig is great because he got to understand my business, and who does what in it, so I don't have to be involved in every part of the sales process. He has built up a relationship with our Operations Manager, Workshop Manager and Transport Manager so they can deal with their bit of the process. I find Craig very discrete and maintains confidentially throughout.
On the acquisition side of things, Craig has been responsible for going to market to source quality used cranes and lorries for us (£m’s). Again, he has a vast network of quality contacts and has a great ability to identify the actual owners of machines. As in this industry, there can be many people trying to market the same machine, each taking a cut, plus causing a lot of confusion along the way. Craig deals with all the 'time waster' type stuff and only offers up serious machines he can identify as genuine. If a machine is of interest, he co-ordinates inspections and undertakes all necessary due diligence on the machine to ensure there are no issues such as good title of ownership etc. He has contacts in the shipping industry so if he locates a machine that is abroad he can deal with getting it home as an end to end service.
All in all, I have found Craig to be great over the years and consider him as my trusted partner for disposals and used equipment acquisitions.
